Aquila are Jonas Dryhoel & Thomas Van Hulle, born and raised in the small town of Waarschoot in Belgium. Due to sharing interests they soon found each other and in 2001 they set up the ‘Mental Gymnastics’ organisation. Organising numerous psychedelic parties in Belgium enabled them to work their way into the Belgian psytrance scene. Their most infamous realisations include a legendary Astral Projection party.
In the meantime Jonas (DJ Bonas) was testing out his mixing skills and the two of them got interested in the production side of the music. Eager to learn more about these possibilities they took part in an electronic music production course organised by the SAE institute in Rotterdam, Holland. Many hours of home production and the acquiring of the right hard- and software followed.
Early 2006 they met with the Dacru guys when they organised the Orientation Vol. 1 release party together. The attention was startled for their music aswell, leading to their participation in the next releases of the Orientation series. After which they joined the Dacru Records label. Following many releases with Dacru and various labels, they released their debut full album ‘Gain Control’ in April of 2009. The album quickly lead to bookings in Japan, Russia and Fusion festival in Germany, while many other countries around Europe had already been visited. Their powerful sound will move dancefloors for many years to come.

Sufi is Mohsine Kabbouchi, born in 1981 from Moroccan heritage and nowadays living in Ghent, Belgium. He's one of the seeding talents from the Belgian psychedelic scene.At the age of 16 his interest in music began to develop when he started playing as a dj at local house and techno parties. After a switch to psytrance he noticed that his true interest lay in the producing of his own sounds.
In 2006 things took off for him on that front. His talent surfaced rapidly, as he made fast progress and enhanced his production skills. In 2007 he already started out playing live in the Ghent area and soon the rest of Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands followed. Also his first release became reality with the 'Lifetime' track in the Orientation Vol. 3 compilation by Dacru Records. Joining this label on a permanent basis allowed him to focus on his debut album ‘TimeWave Zero’ which was released in November of 2008. New gigs took him to countries as Italy, Austria, UK, Hungary and Denmark.
For the future he plans to keep spreading his sound with more releases and international gigs. A second full album is already crawling around in his thoughts. So stay tuned!

Noize Hunter is Markus Mang, a creative Austrian psy-trance dj, he was born in 1984, in a small village in upper Styria, Austria.
He started playing the trumpet at the age of eight and only a few years later he got in touch with electronic music and visited his first parties. His friends introduced him to the world of psy, when he was fifteen. It was very fascinating for him and a beautiful, new experience that in-fluences his following life. Soon he decided to play as a dj.
After a time he got deeper into the scene and started playing at bigger parties and festivals all over Austria – but also in other countries, like Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Hungary, Slovenia and other beautiful places all over Europe.
In 2003 he also started organizing parties, together with some friends. Artists like Rastaliens, Braincell, Azax Syndrom, Psyboriginal, Cosmo and many other producers and djs performed on their parties. At one of their first psychedelic events he met Dj Liquest. They became good friends and finally started producing music. Their project Mystic Quest was born. But after a time, Markus decided to start a solo-project, called Noize Hunter.
Noize Hunters dj-sets are well known for a powerful, mindblowing and melodic full-on sound till the early morning, when the sun comes up and the day begins. |
