All entries are from the visitors of this website.

PHP and HTML coding, forms and wording (english/german), site-emails and error messages - all this stuff is made by myself since 1996.

There are several moderators who check once in a while if there are no fake or troll entries.

Maybe the party is just over - you have to look into under "historical parties". Or the organizer just deleted the party. Then the info is gone into the nirvana.

No. I know only the parties which are online.

Yes. The organizer of the party decided to disable meetingpoint, lift or reports.

Mostly the organizer don't wanna discuss with the people here. Check such parties carefully.

You can contact the member who submitted the party to ask for the reasons.

The organizer of the party broke the rule to submit each party once only. He thinks, that more guest are coming if he inserts a party twice or more under different countries. Even if this would be true the side effects are several splitted meetingpoints, lift, photos and reports.

Whenever you see a double entry: Feel free, to write a message to me with the links of this parties. It will be corrected as short as possible.

Every party is submitted from the organizers only.

If a party is not online the organizer haven't inserted it.
One possible reason: The party is very small and they don't wanna have to many guests...

Photos of the parties are visible for members only. The reason is that we don't wanna offer them the whole world and don't wanna see them in Google.

We don't have videos.

Choose the party details and click on the navigation tab for photos and pictures. In the right info box is a link. Click on this link to upload your photos.

No. The webmaster doesn't organize any party and hasn't anymore informations about a party. If you wanna know more contact the member who posted the party.

Possible reasons:
- your email address was wrong
- your mailbox is full
- your spam filter was to restrictive
- you haven't read it

The subject of the email:

If you didn't get this email you have to register once more. Nothing else helps.

You can't believe how many people add a wrong address.

Only with the confirmation link from the registration email your address is proved.

Use you email address for the login - not your nickname.

Your password must be correct, too.

If it doesn't work, though: Look into the email you got after the registration. There is a link. You have to open this link in you browser. After that you can log in.

You disabled cookies in your web browser. Cookies are small files stored on your hard disk. Goabase needs this cookies to recognize you and your login settings.

It's possible to allow cookies for Goabase only - everything is fine after that :)

Firefox:
Menu Tools/Options.
Click on Privacy, Cookies, Exceptions.
Insert www.goatrance.de and click the button "Allow".
Click OK.


Internet Explorer:
Open the menu Extras/Internet Options/Security
Click the button "Trusted Sites" then click the button "Sites...". Insert www.goatrance.de, click OK

Click on "member home" at the left and then click on "Party Newsletter". You can unsubscribe your newsletter there.

Or you read the last newsletter. There is a link where you can unsubscribe.

You can use the newsletter options to get parties from preferred countries, towns or artists only.

Go to your "member home" and click "Party Newsletter".

The infobox on the right side (friends online etc.) disables after 30 minutes inactivity. To reactivate this just click once on the link "Enable infos".

The infos disable too if more than 200 members are online within 5 minutes. This was necessary because the infobox needs lots of server ressources, it would slow down the goabase.

As soon as the number of members online is less than 200, the infobox is enabled again automatically.

Some members set their profile "non-public"

No tab navigation and no entry statistics then above appear.

Because of the "non-public" profil, you can't put them on your friendslist. But you can write them private messages.

Sometimes at the number of entries in the profile for example stands "report: 1", but if you clicks on it, you can't appear the entry.

That is because of the fact that it's not again checked whether the report was written with a hidden (hidden) party.
This unpleasant phenomenon gives it also with photos and meetingpoints.

But it needs too much database performance if you match every entry from every member - especially with those members who makes lots of postings per day.

You can disable the last visit logging (at the top right).

Other members don't see your last visit time after that.

Exception: If you write something at the goabase your last visit time will always be updated.

If you have two different member profiles and want to have them together in one profile, then please use the contact form and fill in which both profiles are to be merged into one.

All entries of the profile will then transfer to the other one, it means that photos, reports, meeting points, articles of the discussion forum etc from the old profile transfers to the new one.

In addition please specify the login emails of both profiles, because this can be guaranteed only that nobody else permitted a joke with your profiles.

It's a bit different from myspace or other communities.

You can make everybody to your "friend" - but it's more like a bookmark or favorite because the other member don't have to authorize your bookmarking.

On the other hand you don't find a friends list on every goabase member account. Some members publish their friends list (it's a profile option) but the default is that the friend list is private.

The result is that we don't have any rat race between members like "who get the most friends"...

If you don't wanna allow other members to add you to their friends list set your profile to private. And if you don't wanna allow others to see your last online time deactivate your 'last visit'.

If you block another member:

• The member can't write any messages to you.


• The member can't add you to his friends list (but can also block you!)


• You are removed from the others friends list (if you have been there).


• You don't see the postings of this member in the forum


• If you added a party the blocked member can't insert any party posting (meeting point, reports) to your party. The blocked member can't add the party to his partytimer and add himself onto the who-comes list.

We delete automatically all messages which are older than 60 days and which are not saved.

Reason: It costs too much database space and performance to deliver all messages permanently. You can save or download every message you want.

Open the message and click "save message".

There is no easy way to save a bunch of message with one click only. We would overload the database whith messages which are saved "prophylactical".

That's not working. There exists no multiple receiver lists or something similar. It's preventing the mis-use of the message features against promotion or spamming activities.

You have to be a member to submit new parties. Be sure that you activated the checkbox "Submit Parties" in your member profile.

If you upload a party flyer your party entry appears in the "new party flyer" section.

Nothing. It's free and without any costs to insert a party.

Be sure to add goa-/psystrance parties only. Other parties don't fit to this site and they will be deleted without any comment.

Every new party entry is in the newsletter once only. No changed parties. No updated.

The newsletter comes every Wednesday.

JPG, GIF and PNG allowed only. If you use JPG be sure that you don't use the CYMK color scheme (which is used for printing only).

It's not possible to upload flyer bigger than 4 MB

Images will be shrinked to 640x640 pixel.

Hints: Optimize your flyer to 640x640 before the upload. Don't compress JPG. Goabase optimzes the images after the upload to the max. size of 400 KB.

Preview flyer will be created automatically.

You can read it if you submit a flyer: "Upload the party-flyer only, please. Photos, pictures, banner, logos etc will be deleted."

What is a flyer? A flyer is the sheet of paper where you announce your party with name, date, location and line up. The same paper people places in shops.

Members will be banned if they ignore this rule more than once.

Each party gets a number, the consecutively party-ID (PID).

Hidden are parties, which can't be find over a PID number now. These parties are also not listed in any output except the personal party timer. Thereby hidden parties can't be find by any chance.

Only if the party stands on your own party timer, the party can be called again with the PID.

You need a special link if the party doesn't stand on your own party timer. Within this link a letter-figure combination instead of the normal numerical PID.

Send this alphanumerical link to your friends, because only with this link they can call the party for the first time.

If I would get money for the entry I would say: Yes, sure. But the entry is free - so please don't send me your work :)

But if something gone wrong or you have problems to use the party form - please drop me a note and I try to help.

After you inserted the party you get an email to your member email address. There you find all links and the password for the party to change it whenever you want.

This is usefull if you wanna give a friend the right to change the party infos. Your friend can change the party only - but he can't go into your member area.

How did your last slave died?

You can read it if you submit a party: "Please submit goa-/psytrance-parties only."

Your party was no goa/psytrance party so I deleted it.

Every link which doesn't fit to the theme "goa and parties" will be deleted.

Another reason could be the following: Whenever a visitor opens a link we check if the site is online. If the site isn't online anymore it will be set to "offline" in the database. From time to time a script checks if the page is available again and sets it back to "online" again.
